In case both devices are connected via WiFi or are on the same network, another option is to leverage Nearby Sharing. It's crucial to note upfront that this approach exclusively functions with Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.

Note: In the upcoming steps, Computer A refers to the computer sharing files, while Computer B is the recipient.

Step 1. Identify the folder you wish to share on Computer A. Right-click on it, opt for "Share with," and then choose "Specific people."

Step 2. From the drop-down menu, select individuals to share with and click on "Add." If you opt for "Everyone," it implies that the files will be available on your local network to anyone, even without a password.

Step 3. Click on the user you added to the list, configure the permissions, and then click "Share." Once you observe the message "Your folder is shared," proceed to click "Done."
