What causes AnyDesk lagging?

I've been using AnyDesk regularly for a few months now and it works great. However, all of a sudden, the connection became terrible. There is a 1 to 10 second delay between any input, even if it's just typing on a blank screen. I should be able to have a very high quality and low latency connection, but unfortunately, it's terrible and almost unusable. What can I check or try? I apologize if I have missed any information. Thanks.

With AnyDesk you can remotely connect to unattended computers. But sometimes you may encounter AnyDesk lag issues. The screen speed will slow down and the image transmission will be jittery and laggy. This is very troubling. Many users are looking for solutions.

What causes AnyDesk to lag? Perhaps your channel is loaded with traffic due to a torrent connection, a browser download, or video streaming enabled on a device connected to the router. Keep reading, this article provides you with the solution.

How to fix AnyDesk lag [4 solutions]

AnyDesk is a remote control software that lets you remotely connect to unattended computers and access the screens and files of remote devices from anywhere in the world. However, many users will encounter a lot of problems such as AnyDesk sound not working, AnyDesk lagging, and so on. If you are one of these users, don't worry, in this article, we will learn about the solutions to AnyDesk lag fix. Here are four solutions you can choose from when AnyDesk lags.

Solution 1. Check internet connection

To resolve AnyDesk lag issues, evaluate the quality of your Internet connection, especially when using Wi-Fi. You can identify any connection problems by running other programs for testing. Or check according to the following operation.

Step 1. Go to “Network & Internet” in the Windows Settings.

Step 2. By clicking on the "Status" tab on the left, you can view the current connection status.

Step 3. If you encounter any network-related obstacles, scroll down the “Status” screen until you find the “Network Troubleshooter” option. By clicking on this option, Windows will activate its diagnostic features to identify and resolve any problems affecting your network connection.

Solution 2. Modify AnyDesk settings

You can also try to fix the AnyDesk lag problem by modifying AnyDesk's settings. By default, the renderer Direct3D is used, but its performance depends on the graphics card and its settings. If the graphics card is overloaded, which may cause AnyDesk lagging issues, suspend execution of resource-intensive tasks for a period of time.

Step 1. Launch AnyDesk on your device, tap the four horizontal lines icon in the top right corner, and select “Settings” to open it.

Step 2. Find “Display” and click on it.

Step 3. Once open, slide down to find “Hardware Acceleration”.

Step 4. Click “DirectDraw” to make changes to Hardware Acceleration.

Solution 3. Adjusting computer resolution

Perhaps you can also try lowering your computer resolution, which may help with AnyDesk lag. However, you will have to lower it on both devices to achieve a faster internet connection. Doing so will consume less data and result in a faster AnyDesk remote connection.

Step 1.  At the same time, press "Win+R" to open the Run box, type "regedit", and then click "OK".
